Preparation of Substituted Vinylsilanes from Cinnamyl Carbamates

Reaction of N,N-diethyl cinnamyl carbamate with TBDMSC1 yields the mono-silylated carbamate which, on treatment with butyllithium, reacts with various electrophiles to give the corresponding disubstituted carbamates.
