A New Path for the Reductive Cleavage of Te-Te Bond by the System of Cp2TiCl2/i-BuMgBr and ITS Utility in Synthesis of Unsymmetrical Tellurides

The cleavage reduction of ditellurides by Cp 2 TiCl 2 /i-BuMgBr lead to nucleophilic tellurides [Cp 2 TiTeAr]. This species reacts with aliphatic bromides to give unsymmetrical tellurides in good yield.
