Infrared Spectroscopic Study of the Hofmann-Diam-Type Clathrates: M(1,6-Diaminohexane)Ni(CN)4 ˙ C6H6 (M=Ni, Co or Cd)

Infrared spectra of M(1,6-diaminohexane)Ni(CN) 4 ˙ C 6 H 6 (M-Co, Ni or Cd) are reported. The spectral data suggest that the compounds are similar in structure to Cd(1,6-diaminohexane)Ni(CN) 4 ˙m-Toluidine and have Hofmann-diam-type structure.
