Investigating Brine Shrimp

The brine shrimp activity fosters authentic scientific inquiry in addition to providing an engaging and exciting avenue for student exploration. Students in grades 5-12 can use a plethora of science process skills as they design their own investigations. The activity, designed around a 5-E Learning Cycle model, supports the recommendations of the National Science Education Standards, which emphasize that inquiry should be a critical component in the science classroom.
