Zusammenfassung:Two groups of below average eighth graders and ninth graders were tested using a traditional testing scheme and a spiral testing scheme. The ninth graders who were tested using the spiral approach scored significantly higher than the control group in a pre-algebra class on both a mid-semester test as well as a semester test. The eighth graders who were tested using the spiral approach scored significantly higher than the control group in a basic mathematics course on a mid-semester test.
