Zusammenfassung:The influence of the direction of the dislocation line on the shape of the etch pits produced by CP4 OH {111{ faces of germanium single crystals is examined. The azimuth but not the declination of the dislocation line may bo derived from the etch pit shape. Observations of the azimuth and the trace direction have been used to identify the direction of the dislocation lines in some crystals.
