Symmetry breaking above Tc in arsenic-doped KDP

ESR spectra of KH 2 PO 4 (KDP) doped with arsenic show splitting due to ferroelectric ordering in the neighborhood of the paramagnetic AsO 4 radical. Measurements of the local polarization as a function of temperature are compared with mean field calculations.
