Zusammenfassung: | Several experiments were conducted to determine the effect of a vehicle's environment on passenger comfort in intra-city buses and inter-city trains. Data were collected simultaneously on the physical characteristics of the environment and the passengers' comfort ratings in that environment. Roll rate was strongly related to judged comfort for busses, and noise and roll rate for trains. The results for ground based vehicles are compared to those from the air mode. |
