Radiative Efficiency of a Quartz Radiant Heating Tube
Radiative efficiencies are reported for 10,15,20 and 25 kW, Φ = 0.6 and 0.8, natural gas/air flames burned with an industrial fuel/air nozzle and confined in a quartz radiant heating tube. The radiativee efficiencies of corresponding unconfined flames are also reported. Radiative efficiencies of the...

Zusammenfassung: | Radiative efficiencies are reported for 10,15,20 and 25 kW, Φ = 0.6 and 0.8, natural gas/air flames burned with an industrial fuel/air nozzle and confined in a quartz radiant heating tube. The radiativee efficiencies of corresponding unconfined flames are also reported. Radiative efficiencies of the confined flame/tube combination are at least three times higher than those of the unconfined flames suggesting strong participation by the confining quartz tube in the heat transfer process. |
