Arctic Skuas in Caithness 1979 and 1980

Surveys in 1979-1980 located considerably more breeding Arctic Skuas on the Caithness moorlands than had been found previously in this century. The recent increase is believed to be a real one, and the involvement of new sites indicates a continuing range expansion.
