Ethics as a Part of Education and Training: Working Group 4

Rapid advances in life sciences and medicine, combined with social changes and increasing financial restraints placed on the health care system, have resulted in a large number of ethical issues. As a consequence, classical codes of ethics, such as that of Hippocrates, have become inadequate to meet the challenge of rapidly emerging new ethical problems and dilemmas.
