Do blunt tipped needles reduce the risk of glove puncture and needlestick injury in the suture of episiotomy and perineal repair?

This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of blunt tipped needles in reducing the rates of glove puncture and needlestick injury in the suturing of perineal tears and episiotonies. In addition, the current methods used for the repair of the perineal skin were assessed.
