This bird had a completely developed gastrointestinal tract and an additional or duplicated intestinal tract. The duplication started from ileum, which extended to some length, then branched into a single ceca and a shorter colo-rectum. The terminal portion of the tract was a blind sac, unattached to the cloaca or vent. |
