Zusammenfassung:	The quantised inverter amplifier concept is introduced, where an input signal is sliced and amplified by an array of amplifiers. This strategy expands the dynamic range of the amplifier and relaxes the power demand of the following stages as the total output swing can virtually exceed the supply voltage. Moreover, using multiple amplifiers helps to linearise the input–output transfer characteristic. Simulations results confirm the presented theory.
