Zusammenfassung: | SeItiQ_3D is a code that has been developed at University of Wales, Swansea. It is based on formulations for solving electromagnetic scattering by conducting and dielectric bodies and which involve EFIE, CFIE and MoM. The paper concentrates on some of the testing that SeltiQ_3D has undergone to validate its use on particular problems. It has been applied to some dielectric-loaded antennas and some of the preliminary results are given. These antennae include: a compact wideband monopole; a polyrod; a small C-band reflector with a splashplate feed. The first antenna has a fairly basic geometry, but highlights some important aspects of the EFIE and CFIE formulations and the associated coding that need careful testing, in particular, the modelling of wire-to-PEC triangles and also the modelling of thin dielectrics, such as substrates. Both these aspects of the EFIE and CFIE formulation have been previously tested. The last antenna is a good test problem as it has a complex geometry and is electrically quite large for a PC-based code and too large for HFSS. It also requires the modelling and excitation of a circular waveguide, which needed validating in its own right as a separate problem. |
