Techno-economic evaluation of optical packet/ burst switching

We present a techno-economic comparison of an optical burst switched network with optical circuit switching and IP/MPLS. Our results reveal the conditions under which optical packet/ burst switching becomes a viable solution and may outcompete currently commercial technologies. (2 pages)
