Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents the advancement in enhancing the transient stability simulation with detailed device level modeling of power electronic devices such as FACTS and HVDC. An electromagnetic transient (EMT) model of an SVC has been built and incorporated into a conventional transient stability (TS) program. Because of the large differences between the EMT and TS modeling, a special interface has been developed to bridge the EMT and TS simulation sessions. This hybrid approach would allow large power systems to be modeled comprehensively with the capability of modeling FACTS and HVDC in detail, and opens up new possibilities in transient stability assessment. |
