Zusammenfassung:A number of applications, such as charged particle accelerators, microwave plasma heating and modem communication systems, require powerful sources of noise-like microwave radiation with a relatively wide band, that is achieved in the regime of chaotic oscillations. Among such sources a delayed feedback oscillator based on a multiple cavity klystron amplifier seems to be one of the most promising due to high power level and high efficiency. This report presents the results of theoretical and experimental investigation of a delayed feedback klystron oscillator in the regimes of single-frequency, self-modulational and chaotic oscillations.
