A neural network model for prediction of progression of left anterior descending coronary artery stenosis in hyperlipidemic patients after a first myocardial infarction

A neural network model to predict the progression of stenosis in the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) was developed. The model has inputs from 27 physiologic parameters, and can handle missing data on up to 8 of the inputs. The networks is 77% successful in predicting progression of co...

Zusammenfassung:A neural network model to predict the progression of stenosis in the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) was developed. The model has inputs from 27 physiologic parameters, and can handle missing data on up to 8 of the inputs. The networks is 77% successful in predicting progression of coronary artery disease in the LAD with a sensitivity of 82% and a specificity of 73% .
