This allowed us to generate soliton-like pulses in a very wide range of pulse durations. In this way, we have greatly expanded the range of possible applications for this novel laser scheme, which is based on a power-scalable concept and thus promises to soon generate the by far highest average output powers both in the femtosecond and picosecond regime. |
