Zusammenfassung: | The classic line-of-sight (LoS) MIMO systems optimize antenna spacings according to the communication distance, and the subchannels of fixed symmetric arrays are sensitive with distance variations. Under array aperture constraints, this letter shows that asymmetric array topologies can provide robust spatial multiplexing over a broad distance range. To reduce the implementation costs and power consumption, we further propose to use one-bit quantization for both transmitting and receiving at the terminal of more antennas. Finally, with evaluations using Bussgang decomposition based mutual information lower bound, the proposed one-bit LoS MIMO system is verified with its significant and robust MIMO gain. |
