Zusammenfassung:The current matching of multi junction solar cells determines the most important cell characteristics, such as efficiency and degradation hardness. The evaluation of current-voltage curves under different spectral irradiances enables a quantitative assessment of the device. Especially the variation of one cell's fill factor clearly indicates the shift in the current matching. A minimal fill factor can be observed at highest power or only a decreasing fill factor during the shift from red- to blue-rich spectra, which confirms the theory of series connected devices. This information shows the optimisation potential of the cell as a feedback for the manufacturer as well as the correct classification for matching to receive a high power string, module and panel. The end of life efficiency can be maximised by careful selection of the appropriate multi junction solar cell for an individual mission.
