Zusammenfassung: | Run-length limited (RLL) codes can facilitate reliable data transmission and provide flicker-free illumination in on-off keying-modulated visible light communication (VLC) systems. This letter proposes new RLL codes that can decrease error and achieve desirable brightness levels with high throughput. The flicker control and free distance of the proposed rate 2/3 RLL codes are extensively described. Extensive simulations evaluated the proposed RLL codes in forward error correction (FEC)-uncoded and FEC-coded VLC systems, demonstrating that the proposed RLL codes offer superior error performance when compared with rate 1/2 Miller and enhanced Miller codes. |
