Zusammenfassung: | New measurements in Ka (18.7 GHz) band on a land mobile satellite propagation link have been executed in urban and surrounding areas of Turin, Italy, using the ESA LMBT van. Main targets of the measurement campaign are: statistical characterisation of Ka-band mobile channel in different environments (urban, suburban, highway, open area), comparison of statistical properties of received signal using two antennas, statistical properties of the signal received through vegetation. Besides a series of measurements have been effected, with the van stopped, in Parco Ruffini on lime trees, in the months of March and August. Other series of measurements have been executed on a grove of Pines and on a grove of Poplars. These measurements have been effected to evaluate the attenuation due to different vegetation depth. |
