Cloud Adoption in Brazil

Cloud computing has become quite popular in recent years, and its use has the potential to provide scalable, cost-effective, and flexible IT services. These and other advantages have attracted the attention of academia, industry, and government. In Brazil, cloud computing technologies are already used by several industries, and the government is giving it serious consideration for IT services. This article aims to provide an overview of cloud adoption in Brazil by various governmental and industrial sectors. The authors also highlight the underlying technology's main challenges, discuss trends and projections related to cloud use in Brazil, and present governmental and university initiatives that promote cloud computing.
