Zusammenfassung:This letter presents a cost-effective technique for partial-discharge testing of medium-voltage (MV) cables using a combined ac and damped ac (DAC) voltage. The combined ac and DAC voltage is generated by a conventional variable-frequency resonant test system and two high-speed switches. An experimental study and on-site test are performed to validate the proposed technique.
