Zusammenfassung:Knowledge acquisition remains a major bottleneck in building expert systems. We have used the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to help widen this bottleneck. The AHP was used to aid in eliciting and structuring knowledge that was used to build rules for an expert system that gives a diagnosis and prognosis for stuttering in children. The system accepts inputs derived from a parent interview and a clinician interview, and produces an integer value representing 1 of 4 possible diagnostic categories.
