Zusammenfassung:This paper discusses a methodology for lifting a sessions trace from a packet trace. The session trace is created from a packet trace by removing many of the physical and network layer control mechanisms from the packet trace. The session trace embodies the true client/server transaction induced on the network link. We show that the session trace is superior to a packet trace for network simulation workloads in Network Simulator.
