Zusammenfassung:We describe two new dispersion maps for 10-Gb/s transmission systems. First, the adaptive dispersion compensation, improves transmission over heterogeneous-spans networks. Second, the sparse dispersion compensation, allows a dramatic reduction of the number of dispersion-compensating modules, which generally results in lowering nonlinear distortions from wavelength-division multiplexed channels.
