Formation Of Self-assembled Monolayer Of Heme And Synthetic Hemopeptide On Gold: Interaction With Nitric Oxide And Carbon Monoxide
Gold electrodes were modified by the formation of Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAM) of heme (Iron III protoporphyrin IX) and recently synthesized alphahelical hemopeptides [1]. SAMs were characterized by spectroscopy (on quartz) and electrochemistry. The interaction of these films with nitric oxide (N...

Zusammenfassung: | Gold electrodes were modified by the formation of Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAM) of heme (Iron III protoporphyrin IX) and recently synthesized alphahelical hemopeptides [1]. SAMs were characterized by spectroscopy (on quartz) and electrochemistry. The interaction of these films with nitric oxide (NO) and carbon monoxide (CO) were studied by differential pulse voltammetry. To test the selectivity of these electrodes for NO, the oxidation of nitrite (NO/sub 2/) was also investigated. |
