Zusammenfassung: | We present a new class of fractal ring arrays we denote Cantor ring arrays based on a polyadic Cantor set with a number of design variables. When thinned, these arrays have a performance that is superior to their periodic counterparts and appear similar to or better than their random counterparts for a moderate number of elements. Cantor ring arrays have distinctive subfractal, fractal and superfractal radiation regimes whose boundaries are predicted by the array geometry. The fractal geometry of the array makes its presence felt in the fractal regime only and controls the sidelobes. |
