Transition Between Patterned and Diffuse Discharge in an Ne DBD

Dielectric barrier discharge in a wedge-like gap of neon was investigated. The transition between the patterned discharge and the diffuse discharge was observed when the applied voltage or the gas pressure changed. The mechanism for this transition was proposed.
