Zusammenfassung: | The CORDIC algorithm can be used to calculate the trigonometric functions and widely used in real time digital signal processing. In this paper, we explore various hardware structures in combination with software to realize the trigonometric functions as processor's instructions on Altera Nios II SOPC platform. With Nios II custom instructions, you can take full advantage of the flexibility of FPGAs to meet system performance requirements. Experimental results shows the proposed custom instructions are typically 1000 times faster than software functions in C language on the platform. |
