Zusammenfassung: | This paper presents a new simple design methodology aimed at reaching the best medium-frequency (MF) converter for a given application. For a proper methodology the characterization of the semiconductors is essential. Thus this work analyzes the behaviois essential. Thus this work analyzes the behavior of different semiconductors under hard and soft-switching conditions, providing some design practices for their selection. Soft-switching components have been designed for different topologies using an optimization process. Ther of different semiconductors under hard and soft-switching conditions, providing some design practices for their selection. Soft-switching components have been designed for different topologies using an optimization process. The proposed methodology has been validated with a small-scale prototype (10kW/500 V), and experimental results are presented. |
