Zusammenfassung: | The computer model (Arthur, et al.) to simulate thermal performance of a vapor-compression cycle air conditioner was modified. The ability to simulate compressor performance using either the classical loss-efficiency model (volumetric and isentropic efficiencies) or using experimental compressor performance map data has been incorporated into the model. Measured performance data was obtained for both reciprocating and scroll compressors using refrigerants R-22 and R-407C. Comparisons were made between the reciprocating and scroll machines using the same refrigerant and between the same machines using different refrigerants. Representative model predictions of performance using both compressor models are presented. Comparisons between system simulations using the loss-efficiency compressor model and the performance map model are very good. |
