An integrated conceptual model of relationships among different types of innovations

The relationships among different types of innovations in an organization seem to have received very little attention from researchers. This paper presents a conceptual model that integrates earlier research on different types of innovations and hypothesizes several relationships among them over the life cycle of a technology. An understanding of these relationships over the life cycle of a technology would help firms to prepare for changes and plan and allocate scarce resources effectively.
