An almost-optimal approach for minimizing the number of required wavelengths for large-scale optical networks

We propose a generic multi-iteration-based lightpath routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) approach, which is efficient to achieve an almost-optimal solution for large-scale networks (with up to one hundred links) under various types of static lightpath demands.
