Zusammenfassung: | The massive amounts of data caused by digital video require an efficient compressing scheme, but current popular video coding schemes, such as H.26x, motion JPEG and MPEG, have either high complexity or low efficiency. This paper proposes a real-time video coding scheme with a conditional frame replenishment algorithm based on the frequency-domain, which utilizes the characteristics of the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and human vision perception. The DCT based interframe replenishment algorithm can encode and decode digital video fast and efficiently. Because of its low computing complexity, the video codec based on this algorithm can be implemented at a lower cost, and it can be realized in real-time with personal computer (PC) software. It is also suitable for low cost PC-based video phones, video conference systems and other visual multimedia communication systems. |
