Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the procedures for measuring the average radial velocity of scatterers in meteorological formations by pulse-Doppler radar are analyzed under conditions of continuous and changing pulse repetition intervals. The reasons of increasing measurement errors at the transition from constant to variable pulse repetition intervals are determined. Improved signal processing algorithm is analyzed that is designed for measuring radial velocity at staggering pulse repetition intervals. It is shown that modified algorithm provides significant error reduction at measurement of radial velocity, keeping constant the range of unambiguous measurement.
