Zusammenfassung: | Developments in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) have led to tremendous enhancements in the present transportation systems providing various applications, including public safety, electronic payment applications, traffic management, and entertainment content distribution. IEEE 802.11p and IEEE 1609-family standards are developed to provide vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-roadside (V2R), and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications in vehicular environments. IEEE 1609.11 focuses on the electronic payment applications for vehicle-to-roadside communications. In this paper, the design and implementation of a WAVE/DSRC payment system for vehicular communications is presented. In this system, two major components, onboard units (OBUs) and roadside units (RSUs), are implemented on Linux-based platform. Moreover, the implemented system also has been evaluated via on-road testing which proves the system is reliable and trustworthy. |
