Miniaturized on-chip power divider/combiner circuit on MMIC for application to C/X band maritime communication system

In this work, a miniaturized on-chip 4-way divider/combiner employing multiple coupled transmission lines was proposed for application to C/X band maritime communication system. The size of 4-way divider/combiner is 1.21 mm 2 , which is only 0.002 % of conventional Wilkinson type 4-way divider/combiner on PCB. The proposed 4-way divider/combiner showed good RF performances. Above results indicate that the proposed 4-way divider/combiner can be effectively used for SSPA (Solid State Power Amplifier) for application to C/X band maritime communication system.
