Zusammenfassung:Personal Health Records are starting to get more attention, as they have the potential to improve the quality of care and reduce healthcare costs. In this paper, the concepts behind PHRs and the advantages of using PHRs compared to other methods of medical record keeping are discussed. In particular, platform style PHRs that allow the easy incorporation of third party tools are examined, as they have the potential to allow medical data to be used in novel ways.
