Investigation of connector end- face visual requirements on scratches for 40G NRZ optical link

This paper summarizes the IEC/86B, Working Group 6 research on impact of polishing scratches on 40G NRZ link performance. This work can be applied for development of next-generation avionics and aerospace standards on connector cleanliness.
