Study of high-frequency mechanical modes in a single microdisk resonator by ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy

An ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy method is used for the detection of the mechanical modes of a single microdisk resonator with a diameter of one micron and with frequencies on the order of tens of GHz.
