Zusammenfassung: | Over the past few years, the metamaterials (MTM) have been greatly introduced and rapidly used as a technique to increase the performance of antenna. For 5.8GHz DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication) in Electronic Toll Collection system, an antenna must have a high gain, a low profile, a compatibility with MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) as well as being simple and having low-cost to manufacture. In this paper, we propose a new double negative metamaterials at 5.8 GHz using modern printed-circuit technology that is easy to realize. We use this technique to improve the gain of a microstrip patch antenna from 6.5dB to 15.3dB at 5.8 GHz while the circular polarization of this antenna is maintained. Our design is validated by simulation and measurement. |
