Zusammenfassung: | This paper discusses the planning, implementation and evaluation of an accelerated maintenance technician training (AMT) program conducted at the IBM Microelectronics Division semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex Junction, Vermont, during 1995-1996. One hundred fifty equipment technicians employed between June 1995 and October 1996 received training in a variety of areas including site orientation, safety, systems operation, core technical subjects and intermediate tool-specific training. Performance based evaluations, using the Kirkpatrick model, were used to measure the effectiveness of this training. Planning, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum, along with a brief overview of this IBM manufacturing facility are covered. |
