Global Stability for an SIR Infectious Diseases Model with Dispersal

Zusammenfassung: | An SIR infectious diseases model with dispersal between two disjoint patches is addressed and discussed. The basic reproduction number R 0 is defined as the threshold parameter. If R 0 is below unity, the disease-free equilibrium is shown to be globally asymptotically stable. If R 0 is above unity and the minor condition holds, the disease persists in the population, and the unique endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. |
