Zusammenfassung:This paper presents the polarization division multiplexing (PDM) and diversity technologies for the second generation terrestrial digital video broadcasting (DVB-T2) evolution. The polarization diversity is built upon two sets of distributed space-frequency coded (SFC) and dual-polarized multi-input multi-output (MIMO) mode. In particular, we analyze a depolarization effect caused by a cross-polarization discrimination (XPD) by considering the polarized MIMO zero-forcing (ZF) and ZF combined with a successive cancelation (ZF-SIC) detections. From an approximate analysis of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) in terms of XPD, it is shown that the output SINR of MIMO ZF detection increases as an absolute XPD increases. It is also shown that the output SINR of ZF-SIC detection converges to that of ZF detection as the absolute XPD increases.
