Zusammenfassung: | Dynamic response of the tri-state boost PFC converter operating in pseudo-continuous-conduction mode (PCCM) is significantly faster than the conventional continuous-conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) boost PFC converter. However, for universal input applications, with the root-mean-square (RMS) input line voltage in the range of 90∼265VAC, the input power factor (PF) of the tri-state boost PFC converter is relatively low when the sinusoidal reference current strategy is used. To improve the PF of the tri-state boost PFC converter over the whole input voltage range, the input current and PF expressions of the tri-state boost PFC converter are derived. Therefore, non-sinusoidal reference current control strategy is proposed to improve the PF to nearly unity in the whole input voltage range. Analytical and simulation results of the tri-state PCCM boost PFC converter are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. |
