Zusammenfassung: | Modern manufacturing demands automation control systems providing high level of distribution and adaptivity. In this context, the utilization of multi-agent systems for the decentralization of production processes has drawn a lot of attention. Furthermore, the diversity and heterogeneity of the involved systems encourage the utilization of ontology based solutions in order to provide information integration taking into account semantics. The Pabadis' Promise approach introduces a scalable multi-agent system utilizing ontology semantics in order to control the production process from the order placement down to the manufacturing environment. This paper presents a framework for designing and implementing ontology-driven multi-agent systems for adaptive manufacturing, extending the main principles and architecture of Pabadis'Promise system. |
